Client centered and solution focused
According to research conducted by the American Psychological Association, merely scheduling the first appointment can often resolve your issue. Why is this so? Probably because of the relief and the optimism associated with taking the first step. If you have been debating whether or not to pick up the phone and schedule an appointment, it can be a great relief to you once you’ve made the decision to do so. It can also be a source of hope to know that you will soon encounter the therapist who will help you begin the process of alleviating your concerns.
Therapy Rates and Session Information
Free Phone Consultation
Our therapists provide free phone consultations to answer your questions and decide whether to book an initial appointment. You can also email us if you have any queries. Note that email privacy is not guaranteed unless users utilise encryption software. Please be cautious when sharing personal information in this manner.
Length of Therapy Sessions
Sessions usually last an hour, but we can arrange longer ones if needed. Therapists might suggest longer sessions for couples and families. Longer sessions don't always help, especially with young children. But they can be helpful for couples and families with older children because having more people involved can take more time to talk through everything. If you think longer sessions might be useful for you, feel free to ask.
What Is a Therapy Session Like?
In many ways, the counselling procedure resembles an educational experience. In addition to learning more about yourself, you may even acquire new skills. Depending on the issue you'd like us to help you address, sometimes counselling entails learning more about a specific condition (e.g. depression, anxiety, family conflict, relationship issues, self esteem, etc) so that you can better comprehend and utilise the strategic solutions available to you.
